Traceability
Traceability is an important topic for companies, especially the ones using recycled paper. Mondialcarta has undertaken a new traceability activity allowing to monitor, to control, and to select the recycled material used in each paper press. This significant project provides a great advantage in achieving a product that continuously looks for the highest possible quality, with the highest standards of environmental care. The importance of traceability goes beyond environmental sustainability in the production process; it also involves compliance with regulations regarding international trade of paper-based products and the ability to certify the recycling process of the used material.

Energy
In 2018 Mondialcarta S.p.A. decided to make a strong investment with the installation of a new cogeneration plant to replace the previous one installed in the 90s of the twentieth century.

The new plant, which entered into operation in January 2018, in addition to fully satisfying the energy needs of the paper mill represents a benefit for the entire country as it has a lower environmental impact than the previous, by reducing emissions and reducing the release of residual heat into the environment.
The cogeneration plant produces both the steam necessary for the drying of the paper, used in the dryer rolls of the continuous machine, and electricity, a part of which is used for the paper mill’s own consumption, while the remaining part is sold to the National Electricity Grid.
